ELECTRICAL TRAINING & ASSESSMENT FOR GAS ENGINEERS
Gas engineers looking to learn more about electrical safety, fault-finding and electrical testing can now benefit from a new training and assessment package from NICEIC Certification.
The training programme is designed for engineers working on gas appliances and central heating systems. It provides them with the knowledge and skills to safely understand an electrical system and how to diagnose a potential problem.
“Gas engineers working on gas appliances and heating systems will often come across a fault that is down to the electrics,” says Paul Collins, NICEIC’s Technical Services Manager. “We want to provide the basic knowledge to further their understanding of how that system operates and ensure that, if they are carrying out any work, they do so both safely and correctly.”
Those attending the course will have the opportunity to understand how appliance and system controls work, with an emphasis on working safely. They will also learn how to use multi-testers for fault finding, how to safely test earth fault loop impedance, and how to interpret and action test results.
The package has four modules and can be completed as one full course or split individually depending on specific requirements.
