Paul has overall responsibility for the Training and Assessment Centre and has over 40 year’s industry experience. Paul started as an apprentice with the old South Eastern Gas Company in 1973.

He progressed to a Gas Service Engineer, Installation Engineer and Service Technician in both the Domestic and Industrial Commercial fields. He then moved into a Supervisory and then a Management role. After a short time in the British Gas Litigation and Legal departments he moved into training for British Gas South Eastern at their Old Kent Road training centre as a Training Instructor.

From there he moved to the British Gas External Training Services Department providing and developing training courses for British Gas external partners both in the UK and overseas. With the closure of all the British Gas training centres in 1994 Paul set up his own Training and Assessment company Betagas operating from the Old Kent Road, London.  The company expanded to Woolwich in 1999 and was one of the biggest independent gas training companies in the UK. Betagas changed from a partnership to a Limited company in 2005 and changed its name to BG Training & Assessment Services Ltd consolidating its operations to the Old Kent Road site.

In 2007/8 ownership of the Old Kent Road site changed and Betagas was forced to close.  Paul relocated his Training and Assessment services and opened the new company EG Training Services Ltd in 2009.
